Some Pictures of Rooney's knee

Surgery site on Rooney's left knee with staple closures that will be removed in 2 weeks. As you can see his rear quarter was shaved for the surgery. His fur is so thick this probably took 45 minutes just for the shaving. There is some bruising evident that I am guessing is from some type of restriction or bracing during surgery.

The second picture is of Rooney's front leg where they inserted his IV. Some of the drugs he received in surgery were: Cefazolin, Bupivacaine, Morphine Sulfate, Fentanyl Cit, Ketamine/SA and Lidocaine.

Rooney now is on three different prescriptions. He has a Fentanyl patch on his back as you can see here. He is also taking Cephalexin as an antibiotic and is taking Deramaxx as an anti-inflammatory.

  1. Poor Rooney! He looks mad in that photo you took the morning before the surgery! "WHERE THE HECK IS MY FOOD?"!!

    Awesome photography Eric!
